Running back Chris Johnson completes visit to Dolphins
In 2015, the Arizona Cardinals took the next step as a franchise and asserted themselves as Super Bowl contenders.

They been doing that and added one more to the mix, re-signing veteran running back Chris Johnson to a one-year contract. The Dolphins have so many issues to deal with before they even reach a point where they could call themselves playoff contenders, so Johnson may lean to re-signing with the Cardinals and taking his secondary role during the 2016 season. Johnson had already publicly stated he wanted to return and the Cardinals wanted him to return, but there was interest from other teams.
In Johnson’s absence, rookie David Johnson emerged as the team’s starting running back. Before fracturing his left tibia in Week 12 last season, the 30-year-old Johnson showed he can produce on a team with a good offensive line.
Chris Johnson will get an opportunity to finish what he started last season with the Arizona Cardinals. After the news came out, Johnson sent out a tweet talking about wanting to win a ring. According to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport, the deal is worth up to $3 million, and Johnson reportedly turned down twice that amount from another team.

Johnson made the Pro Bowl three times and topped 1,000 yards rushing in each of his six seasons with the Tennessee Titans.
