McConnell’s appeal came during a morning phone call Trump placed to the Republican leader to “check in”, according to an aide to the senator.

“As is the case virtually every day, Donald Trump is showing the American people that he is a pathological liar”, Sanders wrote.

The Vermont senator’s broadsides against the GOP front-runner came two days ahead of a critical round of primaries where almost 700 delegates in the Democratic race will be at stake in five states. His language, his intonations.

“This man can not stop lying about anything”, Sanders said. Bernie Sanders, they have Sanders signs all over the place.

He blamed Trump for creating the environment that has led to violence at his rallies.

Violence also ensued at a North Carolina rally earlier in the week.

One of Trump’s supporters may take him up on that offer. Videos show the protester being escorted out by law enforcement when the supporter hit him.

Trump on Sunday tweeted if Sanders is sending supporters to Trump rallies to disrupt them, Trump would do the same at Sanders’ rallies.

On Friday, groups of well-organized students prompted Trump to decide against taking the stage at a rally in Chicago. A reporter for the conservative website Brietbart News accused Mr. Trump’s campaign manager of forcefully yanking her arm when she tried to ask the Republican a question in a Florida. “Other people in the audience should not be joining in”. He urged Trump to “tone it down”.

In a statement released Saturday afternoon, Sanders chose not to do that. Trump told the audience: “They started punching back”.

A rally for Donald Trump held at the University of IL at Chicago was cancelled in the interest of safety as protesters and supporters of the presidential candidate clashed March 11. “What Donald Trump must do now is stop provoking violence”.

Through it all, Trump has continued to insist he doesn’t condone any violence.

As one Reddit poster, a self-described legal immigrant of color who saw the Chicago madness firsthand, put it: “I saw a quiet, but excited crowd of Donald Trump supporters get thrown out of Chicago”. That decision was made “independently” by the campaign, said police spokesman Anthony Guglielmi.

“That way I get away with not having to do it again, because I will do it again”, Trump declared.
