However Sony announced during its press conference at GDC that it would be releasing its VR alternative, the PlayStation VR, in October with the price tag of $399.
Neither will the wand-like PlayStation Move controllers ($29 each) be included in the basic PSVR pack, though the standard PlayStation 4 gamepad covers numerous same functions.

Fair enough, but the announcement should have mentioned that extra expense for those who don’t own it. An Oculus Rift system requires a $1,000 Windows 10 PC, which makes the Oculus virtual reality system double as expensive as the Sony VR solution. Users can also download the Playroom VR at the PlayStation store with six free games to choose from.
