White House blames Trump for violence at rallies

He seemed to be bringing out more new Republican voters to the polls than is typical, despite the host of what many regard as incendiary, racist, violent or wholly uninformed remarks he has made throughout his campaign. “‘I wish we were in the old days when you could punch somebody in the head.’ What do you think that says to his supporters?”

“If conservative Republicans ever went into his rally, you would see things happen that would be unbelievable”, Trump said, even as he denied that a tweet he’d posted Sunday morning saying that Sanders should “be careful” was a threat. Trump then said he may send his supporters to Sanders rallies.

Naturally, the condemnation from the left has been even more forceful, particularly after Trump blamed Hillary Clinton and Bernie Sanders supporters for disrupting his Friday night rally in Chicago.

Appearing later on the same program, Sanders said Trump was the liar. Trump also has 34 percent support in IL.

“Our campaign does not believe in and never will encourage anybody to disrupt anything”.

Trump’s rallies have always been raucous, unscripted affairs, with pumped-up audiences often yelling out as he talks, and Trump yelling back at them.

“They want me to tell my people please be nice, be nice”, Mr. Trump said Saturday.

“Look, I’m not campaigning in Florida, my focus has been in this state and in IL”, he said. He is going to pay the legal fees of somebody who committed a bad act of violence. Clinton added that Trump has been “applauding” violence for months, and it’s essentially “political arson”.

The scenes in Chicago follow a series of recent incidents of violence at Trump rallies, in which protesters and journalists have been punched, tackled and hustled out of venues by Trump supporters.

But speaking at a press conference in Rockford, Illinois Monday, Cruz refused to acknowledge the possibility that Trump would win the nomination, with just one day to go until a crucial cluster of winner-take-all primaries.

I do not condone violence in any shape, ‘ Trump said on NBC’s ‘Meet the Press’.

In Bloomington, some protesters said they felt emboldened to stand in a light but steady drizzle only after seeing reports of clashes at Trump rallies in OH and Kansas City on Saturday.

“He has turned the most important election in a generation into a circus, into a complete fiasco and a carnival”, he said.
