According to American Idol Net, contestant Trent Harmon revealed to fans that this week each contestant will sing two solo songs. This is the point in the night when Tristan and Sonika were declared the week’s bottom-two contestants. The other was sent home.
Sonika won’t have the judges to save her next week, she’ll need America’s votes to make it to the top four.
Tristan McIntosh: The two contestants most in danger are Tristan and Sonika. Keith found himself “watching, but not being pulled in”. Keith and Jennifer realize that America was stupid for picking that song and Harry gives him a pass.
Dalton Rapattoni was up next, ready to throw us back to middle school with Linkin Park’s Numb. Take the poll below and share your thoughts in the comments section. It’s safe to say, at this point, that La’Porsha Renae will be the victor of “American Idol’s” farewell season, right? “I just really know how to emote now better than I did in the beginning, and I can really just let go and perform”.
Jennifer Lopez’ American Idol judging duty March 15 held a surprising revelation for the audience and the Idol hopefuls. He sang Cat Stevens’ “Wild World” and pleased the judges with his performance. Keith compares MacKenzie to cake batter. Lopez agreed, noting that even though the song wasn’t in his wheelhouse, Bourg has so much “likeability” that she thoroughly enjoyed every second of it. Connick liked the song choice and the performance overall, but noticed an “awkwardness” when Mackenzie was in between lines of the song and not singing.

Sonika then belted out “Let It Go” by Demi Lovato. Are Tristan and Sonika the most obvious choices? Vaid’s stunning voice cut through the song, and she also came to life with some of the theatrics of the song.
