JoJo Fletcher Cast as Season 12’s ‘Bachelorette’
Ben Higgins’ season of “The Bachelor” was one of the most controversial in recent history after Higgins told the two finalists, Lauren Bushnell and JoJo Fletcher, that he was in love with both of them.

Bushnell admitted that she’s had moments of frustration with her new fiancé, including learning that Higgins had also professed his love for JoJo Fletcher during the production, which Bushnell described as “hurtful”.
In January, former ABC president Paul Lee revealed that they were doing everything to present a diverse cast for their long-running dating reality show.
Rumor has it that producers initially tapped Caila and then switched to JoJo last-minute, but Caila reportedly took the upset in stride.
“Roadtrippin’ and will be thoroughly disappointed if I don’t find a chick fil a sometime soon…”, the software-sales rep said on Twitter – and her wish was soon granted. “Sending love as the journey isn’t over, it’s only just beginning”.
As for her first chat with Higgins in four months? Without any reservations, she told Papa Higgins that Ben was the man she had been looking for. People were not thrilled since Fletcher was a fan-favorite all throughout season, but it turned out as a blessing in disguise when she was announced as the “Bachelorette“.
The episode began with Lauren (arguably a favorite) meeting Ben’s, also known as the bachelor, family.
Bushnell, who is all set to pack her bags and move to Higgins’ hometown in Denver, said, “It was all worth it. I appreciate him more every day”.
Ben wasn’t totally in good spirits after making that choice, as he tried to hold back his tears while seeing Jojo leave. “Lauren, I want to spend the rest of my life with you”.
So, why was Higgins regarded as one of the most popular “Bachelors” to date? On After the Final Rose, Ben said that a chat with the show’s host, Chris Harrison, actually helped him make up his mind.

“I’m just not involved in the process and that’s not up to me, right?” The source detailed that “After seeing how she fell in love with Ben and then had her heart broken, there was no doubt that everyone’s going to be rooting for her as a Bachelorette”. “I found it with you but I found it with somebody else more”.
