Samsung aims to ‘redefine’ smartphone capabilities with Galaxy S7

The Samsung Galaxy S7 comes out into the markets with two variants – the S7 and the S7 Edge, with both the variants further having two variants, featuring either the Snapdragon 820 or the Exynos 8890 depending upon the region.

The devices run the latest version of Android 6.0 Marshmallow.

(Samsung)The Samsung Galaxy S7 has just come out, and would soon be available in 60 countries, as confirmed by Koh Dong-jin, Chief of Samsung Mobile Communications.

The Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 Edge feature a 5.1-inch and 5.5-inch QHD display.

Meanwhile, Best Buy is taking pre-orders for the Galaxy S7 and S7 edge as well, and it says that it’ll give buyers a free 64GB microSD card.

Both flagship smartphones have their respective special features. The S7 Edge has a feature where the screen flows over the side and onto the back of the phone. It does not mention that this is a pre-order only offer, so it looks like even if you missed the pre-orders, you should be able to get in on this deal. Plus, you can increase the phone’s 32GB memory with a MicroSD card, which means more apps, more photos, and more video storage.

At its Galaxy Unpacked event last night, Samsung finally made its Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 Edge official.

To sweeten the deal, Samsung will also be throwing in six virtual reality games with the headset.

The Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge handsets are about to be announced in about 24 hours as part of the Mobile World Congress (MWC) in Barcelona. Sadly we don’t know anything about price yet, but that’s what contracts are for right? Previously, users could only install apps in the internal storage of the device using the microSD card to store app data (if the app allows it).

The phones also boast of its waterproof and dust-proof design, and will come in four colors: black onyx, gold platinum, white pearl, and silver titanium.
