In an attempted attack Friday afternoon, a Palestinian man tried to stab soldiers at the Etzion Junction in Gush Etzion, according to The Times of Israel.

Time Magazine published an article referring to a terrorist as a “graphic designer … killed by Israeli security forces”. Earlier in the day, the military said troops arrested two Palestinians with knives who said they were planning an attack.

The Palestinian Ministry of Health confirmed that the three have passed away.

The Israeli army, meanwhile, has sealed the entrances of the flashpoint mosque compound and stopped anyone from entering or leaving.

Over 200 Palestinians and just under 30 Israelis have been killed since October, and attempts to quell the violence by the worldwide community have subsequently failed.

Israeli authorities claim most of the Palestinians were killed while carrying out knife, gun or car-ramming attacks.

Palestinians look through a fence as Israeli security forces stand guard at the scene of shooting near the Ibrahimi mosque in the West Bank city of Hebron, on March 19, 2016.

Others caught up in the conflict were shot dead during protests and clashes. Israel says they are being incited to violence by their leaders and on social media.

Most of the attackers have been young people, including teenagers, who appear to have been acting on their own.
