Followers of Mobile World Congress will think that sounds a bit familiar, and it is as Alcatel announced the Idol 4 in Barcelona.

With the Alcatel Idol 4 Pro more or less confirmed set to being a Windows 10-based smartphone, the Idol 4 Mini on the other hand, is said to be powered by Google’s Android 6.0 Marshmallow. Would you be interested in buying this Alcatel-made Windows 10 smartphone?
The supposed render of the Alcatel Idol 4 Pro has been provided by @evleaks, who is regarded as one of the reliable tipsters when it comes to upcoming smart phones.
The difference between the two though would be the OS. Recently we’ve seen growing leaks about an Alcatel Idol 4 Pro, and now it appears that yet another variant may be on the way.
Little is known about its specs yet, aside from its processor, which is said to be the Snapdragon 820, instead of the Snapdragon 650 that would be used for the Idol 4s. “As for the Idol 4 Pro, it is touted to share the design cues of the Android-powered Alcatel Idol 4S, where it will sport a metal chassis, a 5.5” AMOLED display at Full HD resolution which should go some way in preserving the battery life.

According to VentureBeat, the Idol 4 Pro boasts a 5.5-inch 1920×1080 display, which is a slightly lower resolution than the 2560×1440 panel found on the Idol 4S. Its front camera is said to be 8mp. An Alcatel Idol 4 Mini version is tipped to release, although details are sparse at this point. It will also have microSD for additional storage, and can support up to 128gb for microSD. As its name suggests, this device is smaller than the Idol 4 and 4S, packing a 5-inch 1280×720 display compared to the Idol 4’s 5.2-inch 1920×1080 screen and the Idol 4S’s 5.5-inch 2560×1440 display. Included with the phone are JBL J22 headphones.
