Windows version of Alcatel Idol 4 Pro leaked in images

According to material seen by VentureBeat, the other two smartphones will be the Windows 10 Mobile-powered Alcatel Idol 4 Pro (pictured top) and the Android Marshmallow-powered Alcatel Idol 4 Mini (pictured below). The now announced Alcatel Idol 4S comes with quite decent offerings on the table that make it a welcome mid-range device. A key feature said to be coming to the Alcatel Idol 4 Pro is Continuum for Phone support.

Besides that single spec (plus an identically capacious 3000mAh battery), the Pro is superior in almost all departments, from its processor (Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 versus Snapdragon 652) to its memory configuration (4GB/64GB RAM/ROM versus 3GB/32GB) to its camera resolution (21MP/8MP main/selfie versus 16MP/8MP). Now more details on that device – and a new Android phone – have surfaced. Further tipped specs are a 13-megapixel rear camera and 5-megapixel front-facing snapper, and juice would be supplied by a 2400 mAh battery.

There is no date of when the Alcatel Idol 4S will be launched, but when it does, it will be the company’s second device to run on the new Windows 10 after the OneTouch Fierce XL that costs a mere $139.99 on T-Mobile. As its name suggests, this device is smaller than the Idol 4 and 4S, packing a 5-inch 1280×720 display compared to the Idol 4’s 5.2-inch 1920×1080 screen and the Idol 4S’s 5.5-inch 2560×1440 display.

On the inside, the Idol 4 Mini is said to come with either a quad-core MT6738 or octa-core MT6750 processor provided by MediaTek. Would you be interested in buying this Alcatel-made Windows 10 smartphone? By the looks of it, the device will join the growing trend of glass and metal built flagship devices and the leaked image of the Idol 4 Pro seems to borrow their design language from the Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S7.
