White House slams Donald Trump for riot remarks

Thursday’s meeting was especially intriguing because it appeared to be the most concerted effort yet by the conservative movement, many of whose adherents view the NY real estate mogul as a political apostate, to stop Trump.

It also left the door open to potentially supporting a third party race if Republicans are unable to stop Trump.

Even though Trump now leads Texas Sen.

That Trump is doing much better than anyone ever anticipated conceals the fact that he is doing considerably worse than most other Republican front-runners at comparable times.

Within the Republican moderate establishment, Mr. Kasich, as a longtime OH congressman before he became governor, had a reputation in Washington as an acerbic figure and a dependable conservative. “They are terrified, irrational and flailing wildly”.

The calendar over the next month does not work to the advantage of either party’s front-runner. So did conservative leader Bill Wichterman.

Caitlyn Jenner clarified comments she recently made about Republican presidential candidates Ted Cruz and Donald Trump in an interview with E! posted Thursday, saying she did not endorse either candidate.

Instead, one of those present said: “The consensus was that we need a unity ticket. We have people who are elitists, who are part of the ruling class of this country, or pretenders to that throne, who are openly and willingly going out here and telling the American people who have voted for Donald Trump that they’re stupid and they don’t know any better”.

Trump won at least four of the primary contests Tuesday, including winner-take-all Florida. “And if there’s no hope for Ted getting in, as I understand it I can pledge my votes to somebody else, and I would hope Ted would understand”, he said.

Graham admitted that Cruz was “not well liked” among his peers on Capitol Hill, but implied he was the lesser of two evils. That was a sharp shift from Graham’s recent statement comparing the choice between Trump and Cruz to “the difference between poisoned or shot – you’re still dead”. She also trumped her rival, Vermont Senator Bernie Sanders, by sweeping OH and IL as well.

Such voters amount to a majority or near-majority of the Republican primary and caucus electorate, which, as Trump has correctly noted, is substantially larger than in past presidential election cycles.

Arizona residents are far more likely to see commercials for Sanders than for any other candidate in either party, advertising tracker Kantar Media’s CMAG shows. All of the vicious attacks at debates and on television in general will be used by the Democrats during the general election to convince independents, disaffected Republicans and others not to vote for The Donald.

Evidence of that came as Senator Lindsey Graham, the high profile former presidential candidate, began fundraising for Mr Cruz. Don’t be shocked if he starts making those deals in the coming days. A new Politico report asserts that Ohio Gov. John Kasich – with one primary win to his name – could win a brokered convention.

His rhetoric essentially has encouraged supporters to do whatever they want to protesters at his rallies.

“There was a time when presidents were honorable”. Kaisch voters did not vote for Cruz or Ryan, they voted for Kasich in the context of an election in which he was an option.

After that, the campaign trail heads to North Dakota and Wisconsin, which are thought to be good prospects for Cruz.

According to Larry Gerston, professor emeritus of political science at San Jose State University, it’s been 40 years since California has played this big of a role in the presidential primary. “And I think this particular group will look for whatever it is that’s going to do it”, she said.
