ISIS’ golden boy, Jihadi John, the Kuwaiti-born terrorist who was behind the taped beheadings of American, British and Japanese nationals, may actually be on the run from the Islamic State.
Emwazi suddenly disappeared, and it’s believed his unmasking lead to his decision to leave ISIS, the publication reported.
According to some reports, US and UK special forces are in both Iraq and Syria and it is thought the British radical could be high on a potential “kill or capture” list.
Emwazi has long been considered a high value target and was the standout figure in ISIS’s brutal media strategy to terrify both the world.
An unnamed source tells the British tabloid The Mirror that ISIS killers would drop Emwazi “like a stone or worse if they feel he is no longer of any use to them, so it is possible he will end up suffering the same fate as his victims”.
Nick Kaderbhai, research fellow at the ICSR, questioned the alleged departure of Jihadi John from ISIS, commenting: ‘This isn’t the first of these stories to emerge; in the last few months he has said to have fled to Syria, Turkey and Libya.’.
“If anything, the less he is featured, the more impact he will have”, he says. “They tend to embrace their identity wholeheartedly and claim not to fear death”.
The Brit left home to fight for ISIS and appeared in numerous execution videos, reportedly beheading the terror group’s western hostages James Foley, David Haines, Alan Henning, Peter Kassig and Stephen Sotloff.
Here’s how people reacted to the news that the terrorist might have left ISIS.
The 26-year-old gained notoriety when identified as Jihadi John, who had brutally beheaded journalists and humanitarian-aid workers from the U.S. and Britain in propaganda messages released by the Islamic State group over the past year.

With his distinct American-sounding accent, the executioner has been shown carrying out group executions of Egyptian, Eritrean and Ethiopian Christian hostages in Libya.
