In New York City, a large and vocal crowd gathered at a rally and marched in protest of Trump.

Drivers trying to head into Fountain Hills for the Donald Trump rally this morning were met by protesters who refused to let traffic through.

Amid a considerable police presence, protesters held up signs that read “Deport Trump” and “Build a wall around Trump”.

More than 100 protesters blocked the main road leading to Trump’s rally in this Phoenix suburb, chanting that he was a racist.

Maricopa County Sheriffs arrested three protesters, according to Public Information Deputy Enriquez’s Twitter account.

“Well, I think they have their rights”.

In Trump’s home city of NY, about 1,000 demonstrators marched from Central Park to Trump Tower, the billionaire developer’s signature building on Fifth Avenue. “It’s refreshing. I like that he doesn’t back down when people act like he has said the worst thing in the world and they demand he apologize”.

Dozens of protestors were blocking access to one of the two primary roads leading to the Trump rally in the community of Fountain Hills, just northeast of Phoenix.

George Clifton, 63, traveled from his cabin near the Grand Canyon to speak out against Trump’s message on undocumented immigrants and Latinos.

Police were seen taking at least one person into custody, but a spokesman for the New York Police Department could not immediately confirm whether any arrests were made or whether pepper spray was used. Two Trump supporters slapped down the banner and the man was quickly escorted from the rally. Ted Cruz of Texas, the second-running Republican in the race, and Ohio Gov. John Kasich. They held signs, played music and made speeches, calling Trump “despicable” and “a fascist”.

The protest is back by several activism groups, including ICE-FREE NYC, International Women’s Day Coalition, Millions March NYC, Queer DEtainee Empowerment Project, Revolutionaries Against Gendered Oppression Everywhere [RAGE], among others.

The protest caused cars on the divided road to cross over into oncoming traffic as about 50 people milled around in the street between the cars parked to stop traffic.

“Go out on Tuesday and vote”. Traffic was backed up for miles due to the blockage.

“Donald Trump, shut it down”.

“I have gone all the way down Shea, down the 101, the 202, up to the Beeline, down the Beeline and I still can’t get in”, said Marla Silverstein.
