Billy Hamilton is expected to a part of the team’s future, and in the meantime he’ll look to continue tormenting the Colorado Rockies as the Reds try to cap this three-game set with back-to-back wins Sunday. Hamilton led off the inning with a single. Rusin threw to first in an attempted pickoff but Hamilton was already headed to second, forcing a hurried and errant throw by first baseman Ben Paulsen that went into the outfield, allowing Hamilton to advance to third. For Sunday’s game the Rockies start Kyle Kendrick who has allowed 130 hits and 73 earned runs while striking out 56 over 107.1 innings for a 3-11 record and a 6.12 ERA. Hamilton led off with a bunt single. The 29-year-old has pitched eight strong innings in each of his last two starts against Colorado, and he’s 3-2 with a 3.38 ERA in seven career starts against the Rockies.
