Kasich scolds Trump over ‘riot’ comment

Mr Trump has at least 646 delegates and is favoured to win many coming contests, but challenges from opponents Texas Senator Ted Cruz and Ohio Governor John Kasich have blunted his momentum.

“We’re going into where my strength is”, Kasich said. The outside groups American Future Fund, Our Principles and Club for Growth have no Trump attack ads planned for Arizona, a crucial winner-take-all contest in six days, or in any states beyond.

The next multi-state primary voting will take place next Tuesday, with Arizona and Utah casting ballots for both parties and Idaho to hold a caucus to determine between the Democrat contenders.

He has spent about $30 million of his own money so far, he says. “I want you to know that we worked as we ever could”.

If Kasich truly wanted to stop Trump, he should stop campaigning in some states to allow Cruz to win and pick up the delegates in those states, Wang said.

Reporters asked Rubio if he would consider being the vice president for a Kasich or Cruz nominee, and Rubio quickly denied.

Protesters, organized by The Brady Campaign to Prevent Gun Violence, stage a “die-in” in front of Trump Tower, the residence of Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump, Wednesday, in NY.

“Looking back at his campaign, Rubio said he regretted his verbal spat with Trump and added his campaign “was just not what the electorate wanted”, conceding that the 2013 immigration reform bill ‘was a factor” in the failure of the campaign.

If that were to happen, the outcome would be what is known as a brokered convention in which the delegates – who normally play a purely symbolic role, effectively rubber-stamping the results of the primaries – acquire a critical influence over the nomination.

According to the historical model, a Republican-nominated Trump would lose nearly one percent of the Georgia vote in the general election because of the divided state primary.

Clinton is making it much harder for Sanders to beat her, even after he pulled off a major upset in MI last week. Trump leads Cruz in Missouri with a mere 1,726 vote difference.

Clinton’s overwhelming support from older voters negated the wide backing Sanders had from those under 45. To win the Republican nomination, a presidential candidate needs 1,237 delegates.
