The boy was taken from the home by authorities and turned over to child-welfare officials. IT is not clear what sparked the incident, but what is clear, if the allegations are true, the man was a husband “and” a father.

The boy called 911 around 20:20 a.m. and told police that his mom and dad were not breathing at the home on 268 W. Clinton Ave., Bergenfield prosecutor said in a press conference Saturday evening.

Authorities say it appears that Morris killed Torres, then shot himself in the head.
