According to police, the father of the child had left the grey four-door 1997 Toyota Camry running as he ran into the flea market. He gave chase on foot but couldn’t get to the driver.

“Police say the suspect is described as a white male, between 40 and 45 years of age, 5’11”, short blonde hair and medium build. They will be dusting the auto for fingerprints and checking for any surveillance footage from the hotel parking lot in hopes of tracking down the thief.

“He wasn’t the initial caller, there were others that said a vehicle was stolen with a baby in the backseat”, Const. Allyson Douglas-Cook said.

“Our priority is we want the baby back”, Brister said.

A three-month-old baby has safely returned home to his parents after he was the subject of an Amber Alert Sunday evening.

They were last seen going northbound on Highway 27 at Albion Road in Toronto.

It’s unknown what direction the vehicle was travelling.
