We Expect Apple To Go Small At Its Big Monday Event

We’ll just have to wait for Monday to know for sure. Ahead of March 21 event, Apple has also launched an Apple Special Event app on App Store for Apple TV. It’s unclear how Apple is going to name the device. It is highly unlikely that Apple will release the phone earlier, as it has always released its phones in September, like the iPhone 5, 5S, 6 and then the 6S.

While all this does make sense, it will bring the new model pretty close to past year iteration of iPhone which might have an impact on the sale of that model. It will include updated components. Look for an A9 chip, better camera, and NFC for Apple Pay.

Pricing is up in the air, but expected to be around the $450 to $500 mark. Apple is ditching 16GB storage option and teh range will top out with 128GB storage.

“Tim Cook has said he thinks there’s a lot of life left in the iPhone product line, despite the media and investor community pressuring Apple over the potential decline in premium iPhone sales”, Blau said.

The event is expected to unveil the much awaited iPhone SE and maybe even the iPad Air 3. In addition, the smaller model will supposedly support the Apple Pencil, and there will be a version of the Apple Smart Keyboard released for it.

The Apple iPad Pro Mini will allegedly have four stereo speakers and a brighter display. The tablet will gain an updated camera sensor, but details about it are few and far between. The display should include brightness and glare improvements over the iPad Air 2. According to MacRumors, the new iPad is expected to be thinner than iPad Air 2. The Apple Watch itself is expected to remain unchanged, but new bands are an easy way to keep up hype around the wearable before a full upgrade of the hardware.

Officially, Apple will live stream the event on iPhones, iPads and iPod touch devices that run on iOS 7 or higher.
