Are New MacBooks Coming on March 21st?

Although it also highlighted in the report that some analysts think that Apple will be holding a separate event for the launch of the new lineup of MacBook Pro. It is also available in a 12-inch variant and a 13-inch variant. So it is safe to expect that Apple will release next big update on its March 21st event.

I gave the system a qualified thumbs up, and opined that, “The new 12-inch MacBook won’t do everything and isn’t for everyone”. The event will start at 5pm on the evening of Monday 21 March. The new MacBook Pro 2016 will come with improved features over its predecessor. We hope to be wrong, however: it would be nice to get some new Macs on the 21 March. New Apple Watch bands are a strong possibility.

Here’s what you need to know.

Pre-orders for the new iPhone will begin on March 24, with the device going on sale on March 31 in the UK.

In addition to its handsome design, another thing that stands out is the MacBook’s keyboard, which sports a new “butterfly mechanism” rather than the traditional scissor mechanism.

The industry observer stated that another hint that a new MacBook will be unveiled is Apple putting at least three laptop iterations on its obsolete and vintage list. Those interested in watching the event live can do so through Apple’s stream at 5 p.m. United Kingdom time. The latter is also rumored to be released either later this year or early next year.

As of 3pm on 21 March 2016, the Apple Store is down, as you can see from the screenshot below (from the Apple Store iOS app). There may be a time that they will drop both “Pro” and “Air” and name it “MacBook” since these products have all achieved great limits in terms of their thinness and weight. The MacBook Pro is expected to run on the sixth generation Intel processors, Skylake.

However, there is still no word from Apple regarding the details of the two MacBooks.

Competitors including HP, Dell and Microsoft have already moved to Skylake, so Apple is beginning to look like it’s trailing behind. Other reports suggest that there is a possibility that Apple may introduce MacBook Air 2016 with an upgrade to the highly anticipated feature Retina display.

The 15in models of the MacBook Pro now offer quad-core i7 processors, which means they compare very favourably with the 27in iMacs.

The model we picked up previous year came equipped with a 1.2GHz dual-core Intel M chip, which is powerful enough to handle most tasks.

One MacBook Pro rumour doing the rounds goes as far as to say that the 2016 models will have a touchscreen, and that it might even be detachable from the screen a lot like the Surface Book.
