Look for a major windy warm up the first part of next week.

The National Weather Service has issued a Freeze Warning and a Frost Advisory for the Mid-South. Not much accumulation is expected, maybe a dusting at most. “There is still the possibility that temperatures could drop low enough to damage the buds so tender (that) vegetation might need to be protected if possible”.

Monday will be a bit milder but still below average. A freeze warning has been issued for tomorrow morning for Lauderdale, Colbert, Franklin, Limestone, Madison, Jackson, and DeKalb counties. Again, protect the plants to be safe.

Monday afternoon will see a nice warm up into the upper 50s for daytime highs and near 70 on Tuesday and staying dry into Wednesday. Uncertainty is high with this event and the details are far from certain, It’s something to watch as we head into the weekend. Highs will be in the upper 60s on Saturday and the low 70s on Easter Sunday.
