Super Tuesday 2016: Voter anger delivers staggering Florida result for Donald Trump
Trump won at least three of Tuesday’s primaries, including the biggest prize of the night, winner-take-all Florida and its 99 delegates.

Kasich still trails far behind Cruz, who ranks second in the delegate count and even Florida Sen. “The way to beat Donald Trump is at the ballot box”, the Texas senator said on “New Day”.
The Republican Party, meanwhile, veered closer to a historic contested convention after Kasich held his own state and deprived Trump of its 66 delegates.
With Rubio out, that leaves Cruz and possibly Kasich as the only candidates left to stop Trump, depending on what happens in Ohio.
Marco Rubio – who suspended his campaign Tuesday after losing his home state – remains in third with 168, which is 30 delegates ahead of John Kasich. “And I want to remind you again tonight that I will not take the low road to the highest office in the land”.
“There is great anger, believe me, there is great anger”, Trump said of voters. “The reason we have defied all expectations is that we are doing something very radical in American politics – we are telling the truth”, he said.
Democrat Hillary Clinton and Republican Donald Trump were solidly on course yesterday for their party’s presidential nomination for the November general election after convincing wins in the latest batch of U.S. primary elections.
Marco Rubio dropped out of the race after a hugely disappointing finish in Florida, where he’s a senator.
OH governor John Kasich won his home state in his first victory of the campaign. He would need to win around 72% of the remaining delegates in order to do so, according to CNN estimates, and time may be running out for him unless he can start racking up huge victory margins in coming state contests.
Clinton has cemented her lead over rival Bernie Sanders.
With Trump’s win in Florida, he now has 568 delegates.
The wins for former Secretary of State Clinton, 68, added to her lead in pledged delegates over Senator Sanders, 74, of Vermont, and gave her an nearly insurmountable edge, burying the memory of her stunning loss in MI last week.
“We’re going to make the best trade deals you’ve ever seen”.
“It was a positive, it was an optimistic campaign, it was an ideas based campaign”.
Kasich prevented a total Trump takeover by denying him victory in Ohio.
In mid-July, the Republican Party will announce its presidential candidate at its Cleveland convention, while the Democrats will announce theirs in Philadelphia.
‘They can’t come into OH with the philosophy they have and win, ‘ he said.
The billionaire scored big wins in Florida, Illinois and North Carolina which brought him closer to the 1,237 delegates he needs to win the nomination.

Clinton has at least 1,561 delegates of the 2,383 needed, including the superdelegates who are elected officials and party leaders free to support the candidate of their choice.
