Miami University officials said no students from the school are studying in Belgium.
Three William and Mary students studying overseas in Brussels are safe after a terrorist attack struck the city Tuesday morning.
“Their safety is our top priority right now, and we are working with the lead faculty member there to make sure everyone stays safe”, said Christian Basi, spokesman for Mizzou.
Janie Booth, a journalism major who is now interning at EU Reporter, said that even though she lives and works more than 30 minutes from the attacks, everyone in Brussels is feeling the aftershock of the explosions. JMU told The WorldPost it has confirmed that all of its students and faculty are safe. “The University will support students affected during this awful tragic incident”.
Other area colleges said they had no students studying overseas in Belgium this semester.
No group has yet claimed responsibility for the attack, but it comes four days after the arrest of Paris terror suspect Salah Abdeslam.

Jason Good, the director of study overseas at JMU, said that the situation in Belgium is being monitored closely as news unfolds.
