As part of a strategy to woo back customers after the recent unpleasantness, Chipotle mailed coupons for a free burrito to every mailbox in America (btw if you’re not using that, I’ll take it).

Those who play the restaurant chain’s CMG, +2.01% ‘Guac Hunter’ game, released Monday, are awarded free chips and guacamole, playing off the chain’s infamous guacamole-costs-extra policy. Chipotle claims to have served over 43 million pounds of Mexico-sourced avocados in 2015, with the country as its sole supplier at certain times of the year.
Alvaro Luque, president of Avocados From Mexico, stated about the partnership with Chipotle, “Avocados From Mexico is excited to partner with Chipotle this month to celebrate our always fresh, great-tasting avocados”.
“For many of our customers, guacamole is one of their favorite menu items, and a meal at Chipotle isn’t complete without it”, said Mark Crumpacker, chief creative and development officer at the Denver-based chain.
Fortune said Chipotle is spending more money on advertising and giveaways to regain lost customers.
Chipotle said it may increase the number of “buy one, get one free” promotions as it forecast the company’s first quarterly loss.
Under a timer, you’ll have to click on the differences between the two photos and see if you can beat the clock. Even if a person attempting to win fails, he or she will get a “surprise”.
