With that in mind, this contest from Bandai Namco U.K., Sony Computer Entertainment U.K. and MEATliquor looks to be a match made in heaven.
“Dark Souls III challenges players to overcome the odds – and we hope everyone will also enjoy the challenge of overcoming these incredibly hot wings”. The competition last from April 4th to the 29th, and you need only visit your local MEATliquor to apply. If you manage to eat the spicy chicken wings faster than everyone else you’ll be able to walk out with a free copy of Dark Souls III and a PlayStation 4 home console.
Those who complete the challenge will be awarded an exclusive “I SURVIVED the Dark Souls Chicken Wing Challenge” T-shirt.
Having finished my first From Software game just a few months ago (suck it, Bloodborne), I must say that these weeks leading up to the release of Dark Souls III have me more excited for a series that has beaten me senseless in the past than ever. The person with the fastest time in all restaurants will receive the Prestige Edition, which includes a 40cm Lord of Cinder Figurine. Pictured above is a set of drumsticks in buffalo sauce, which you will definitely not be eating as part of the chicken wings challenge.

United Kingdom restaurant MeatLiquor will serve these wings, which are coated in a quarter of a liter of hot chili sauce and yes, the sauce was created specifically for this content. The chef has to prepare this evil concoction wearing a mask and goggles, and you’ll have to don protective gloves to handle the wings. As per the source, these range of option is already an improvement compared to other “Dark Souls” games on the PC. Participants are even required to sign a waiver before entering the challenge.
