James and the Cavaliers lost last season’s NBA Finals against the Golden State Warriors, prolonging a decades-long wait for a major championship in Cleveland.

James not only unfollowed the Cavs’ accounts on Monday but the accounts of team broadcasters Allie Clifton and Austin Carr as well as National Basketball Association journalists Lee Jenkins, Chris Broussard and Dave McMenamin.

James and the Cavs got the last word, though, as they led by 15 points after the third period and by as many as 36 in the fourth en route to clinching the division title and winning their 50th game.

James has been known to send cryptic tweets to his teammates, especially Kyrie Irving and Kevin Love.

The enigmatic superstar has been the source of much confusion this season as his social media presence, specifically through his Twitter account, seems to indicate that he is contemplating leaving the Cavs for the second time. When James and the starters returned, the Cavs reclaimed momentum.

ABOUT THE NUGGETS (29-41): Denver squandered opportunities to play spoiler with losses at Miami and Atlanta previously on the five-game trip but took advantage on Saturday by holding the Hornets to 9-of-32 from 3-point range.

“It’s going to get better”, he said. “It’s not every year that you can do that, unless you’re the San Antonio Spurs and teams like that”. You can’t build a massive social media brand and then get upset when people analyze what you do on it.

A nuts-and-bolts defense with no nuance or variety would be a weakness for the Cavs in a playoff series, but over the course of Cleveland’s final 12 games in the next 23 days to close out the regular season? Love started at center Saturday in a smaller lineup that also included Iman Shumpert while Timofey Mozgov and Tristan Thompson came off the bench. J.R. Smith scored 15 points, and Matthew Dellavedova had 10 points and seven assists off the bench. It’s not given every year, obviously, that you can win a division title, win 50 games in a league where it’s so hard to win. “It’s how you win or lose and we didn’t play with the biggest potential we could play with”, added by James, via the SuperSports. LeBron was simply sublime: 33 points on 75 percent true shooting, 11 rebounds, 11 assists, +38. “We’re trying to do some different things and now we’ve just got to get back to the basics and get back to our foundation”.

James could have said anything, anything to diffuse the situation. While James has had higher scoring outputs of the season, today was by far his most polished game of the season. Toronto has 13 games left to play before the start of the playoffs.

If Tyronn Lue flames out, at least LeBron still follows the name that’ll constantly get mentioned as the next Cavaliers head coach.

“We fought like (heck) to get back in it. And when a little adversity hit in the second half, we went south. And that was disappointing”.
