One killed, five injured in Kashmir grenade attack
One civilian died and at least two people got injured in a grenade attack in Anantnag district of Jammu and Kashmir on Saturday.

Muhammad Jabbar, an ice cream vendor, succumbed to his injuries while the condition of the rest is stated to be stable.
Two private mobile telecommunication companies in Srinagar also came under grenade attack on Friday.
“Suspected militants this afternoon threw a grenade towards a patrol party of paramilitary troopers belonging to Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) in main market here”.
“All the injured have been removed to the nearby district hospital for treatment, “the official said, adding that the injured were later referred to SKIMS Soura for specialized treatment”.
The other injured were identified as Mukhtar Ahmad Zargar of Shakhsaaz Mohalla Kadipora, Anantnag; Shiraza Akhter wife of Abdul Rashid Dar of Harnag area of Anantnag; Rujhan, minor son of injured Shiraza; Vijay Kumar of Punjab and CRPF constable Hona Sonowal of Assam. The grenade, however, missed the intended target and exploded on the roadside resulting in injuries to at six persons including a CRPF trooper.

The whole area has been cordoned off and a hunt has been launched to nab the militants, the officer said.
