Channing Tatum and Jenna Dewan Tatum to host TV dance competition

The couple met on the set of their breakout film Step Up, which was released in 2006, and then tied the knot in 2009. The network has ordered six episodes of the now untitled show that, according to The Hollywood Reporter, will deliver a “fresh take” on the often recycled genre. Channing Tatum, will executive produce through his company Free Association, but is not confirmed to appear on the show, Dewan Tatum’s reps tell EW.
Dewan Tatum and her husband recently faced off against each other on “Lip Sync Battle”.
Jenna, who now has a role on CBS’ Supergirl, will be a judge and mentor for competitors.
Channing Tatum also started his career as a dancer, appearing in a Ricky Martin music video.

The show will be up against stiff competition, with ABC’s “Dancing With the Stars” now enjoying its 22nd Season, and FOX’s “So You Think You Can Dance” to launch its 13th Season this summer. His experience working as a male stripper in his younger years inspired the “Magic Mike” movies in which he starred.
