Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain wanted back at Southampton
Theo Walcott, Danny Welbeck and Joel Campbell all present regular competition to Oxlade-Chamberlain, whilst a new threat for his position has emerged through young prospect Alex Iwobi, with the Nigerian starring in the past two Arsenal fixtures.

Southampton are keen to seal the transfer return of Arsenal winger Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain this summer.
Oxlade-Chamberlain, 22, has struggled to hit top form this season, making just nine Premier League starts and scoring only one league goal in a frustrating campaign.
The England global is now sidelined with a knee injury that he suffered during the Gunners’ UEFA Champions League loss to La Liga giants FC Barcelona, 1-3, in the second leg of their round-of-16 series on March 16th at the Nou Camp in Barcelona.
The 22-year-old was sold by Southampton in 2011 for £15 million, but it’s now reported that the club are willing to launch a similar offer to bring their former youth star back to St Mary’s.
They are now believed to be ready to make a bid for a player who has also interested Manchester City and Liverpool.
