“If we’re going to do this, send in enough people to do it. Don’t any build schools, don’t build any mosques”. Welcome to the program.

Billionaire Donald Trump issued several tweets Tuesday including: “Time and time again, I have been right about terrorism”.

These were failed or neglected integration, foreign fighters returning from Iraq and Syria, porous borders, and intelligence and security bodies struggling to keep pace with the scope and breadth of the threat. In January, for example, Wilayat Khorasan (or “Khorasan Province”), the Islamic State (ISIS)’s branch in the Afghanistan-Pakistan region, released a propaganda video titled, “Cubs of the Caliphate Camp”, that showed young boys undergoing training for jihad.

The expanding cohort of terror recruits from criminal backgrounds was described by Coolsaet as the “fourth wave” of jihadist terrorism, following cycles including those who flocked to Afghanistan in the 1980s, their elite Middle East expatriate successors who were drawn to al-Qaeda, and finally homegrown radicals who forged their bonds over the Internet.

“Belgium raised its terror alert to the highest level, diverting planes and trains and ordering people to stay where they were for most of the workday”. It is global. Whether it is Brussels or Paris, Ankara or Istanbul, Beirut, Bamako, Sydney or Jakarta – the world is so connected, Australians and Australia’s interests are so widespread, that everywhere is close to home. They want America to overreact and reject potential Muslim allies. It does have a restricting effect on commerce. But Americans must not overreact – and must appreciate that we are in a fundamentally different and safer position than many Europeans.

Few of those militants had a criminal record or even any notable brushes with law enforcement – résumé flaws that al-Qaeda anxious would attract scrutiny from law enforcement and risk exposing the group’s elaborate, multiyear plot. At 9 a.m., a metro station was struck. What do you do if you feel that that kind of threat is out there? “This administration has no means of preventing those refugees from being ISIS terrorists”.

The Brussels bombings came only four days after the arrest in Brussels of the last known surviving suspect in the Paris attacks, Salah Abdeslam.

“I just don’t understand their reasoning”, Tortorice said. Is it that perhaps there are many more people out there plotting in Belgium than the authorities had conceivably been aware of, that they must have missed something? “Islam is a religion of peace, and as you know, 1.6 billion people are practicing Islam peacefully, and that’s what Islam is all about”, Tariq Rasheed, president of the Islamic Center of Orlando, said.
