What you need to know about the Apple event

“This week Apple announced the iPhone SE, a tech update to the company’s venerable 4” iPhone 5 design that includes numerous enhancements introduced with the iPhone 6s, but in a smaller package and with a lower price, starting at $399 unlocked with 16GB of flash storage, or $499 for the 64GB version.

Apple is hoping dynamite comes in small packages. The company has already confirmed that the device will be available on Mar 31.

Dom Waghorn, customer experience director, at digital agency Syzygy, said: “This launch looks to be about volume rather than innovation”. But we believe strongly that we have a responsibility to help you protect your own data. “We did not expect to be in this position-at odds with our own government”. We owe it to our customers and we owe it to our country.

Alongside the new product launches, Apple also announced the latest upgrade to its operating system – version 9.3.

The Apple Watch will also become £40 cheaper, with the price cut down to £259.

“Everyone who wants a smaller phone is going to love iPhone SE”. The phone’s camera is carried over from the 6S – it boasts of the same 12-megapixel iSight camera.

The iPhone 7 is expected to come in two models: the high-end iPhone 7 Plus (or iPhone Pro), which is said to feature a dual-lens camera module, and the regular iPhone 7.

On the other hand, you never know because Apple hasn’t been doing at all badly in India in the above-30,000-price range, better than Xiaomi, though behind Samsung, according to analyst firm CMR (CyberMedia Research).

Apple claims the device has the lowest reflectivity of any tablet, while being 25 percent brighter than the iPad Air 2, at 500 nits – Apple is calling it the brightest tablet available. If the faster A9X and 4GB of RAM is essential to you, then maybe you should consider the larger iPad Pro.
