The iPhone SE comes is powered by new A9 chipset which is used in top-end iPhone 6s devices.
Apple’s (NASDAQ:AAPL) recent “Loop You In” event certainly wasn’t one for the history books, but it did follow the company’s typical incremental update cycle for its devices.
Apple said demand for “compact” phones is still strong, particularly in China, adding that it sold more than 30 million four inch phones previous year alone.
The 9.7 inch iPad Pro will be available to pre-order on 24 March 2016 and will be hitting the shelves on 31 March 2016. The new Apple smartphone is meant to address both the demand for a smaller screen iPhone, as well as the demand for a cheap iPhone.
Apple, known for its innovative and creative products has taken the covers off from its new iPad Pro. Apple did announce its own pricing for the new hardware yesterday, though.
The iPhone SE also includes more LTE bands for better worldwide roaming and supports Voice over LTE and Wi-Fi calling for high-quality wideband calls. There’s also an upgraded 12-megapixel camera with Live Photos and 4K video, as well as Apple Pay support.
The iPhone SE comes equipped with a similar 12MP shooter as on the iPhone 6s, but the front-facing camera is 1.2MP, just like the iPhone 6 and iPhone 5s.
However, they weren’t as capable as the Apple’s latest device. United Kingdom prices for the iPhone SE start from £359 for 16GB of internal storage, or £439 for 64GB.
