Capcom Confirms Release Date For First Street Fighter V Update

Trials: Put your skills to the ultimate test with combo trials for all 16 characters, ranging from basic to pro combos. There will also be bug fixes, as outlined in this earlier Capcom post. These new game features will hit SFV starting next Monday, March 28th. In addition, players can also unlock the story costumes for each of the game’s various fighters for 40,000 FM each. The March 2016 update introduces the Challenge Mode featuring trials and tutorials for all characters (with the chance to earn Fight Money in-game currency), as well as a new option to call for a rematch against online opponents in both Ranked and Casual.

Any content purchased for DLC characters using Fight Money will remain in players’ accounts once the Zenny store launches, Capcom adds, but you’ll need to purchase the associated fighter with Fight Money or Zennys to continue using the content. Alternatively, you can purchase the game’s Season Pass.

And “as a way of saying thanks for everyone’s patience and understanding throughout the beta phases and game launch”, Capcom will give away two free character costumes for a limited time starting March 30.

Capcom realizes this could be an inconvenience to those who want to purchase the DLC.

What’s great about the second DLC release is that Alex will be free, albeit temporarily. To avoid upsetting their fans even more than they already have in the last month, Capcom have decided that until their Zenny functionality is made live, Alex and any future DLC characters will be made freely available.

“Once the Zenny shop launches, the free trial for any DLC characters that released prior to the Zenny shop opening will end, and players will need to either use Fight Money, Zenny, or the Season Pass to access those characters”. As an additional bonus, Capcom reveals that Season Pass holders are entitled to an exclusive new stage for free in the near future.

On March 30, the game will get access to the Alex character and the in-game shop, which will allow players to use their Fight Money to access new characters and story mode costumes.
