After decades of searching for his big break, Paul McCartney has finally booked a role that’ll surely have him recognized at Hollywood parties. But also, he’s Paul McCartney so who cares if he can’t act.
There’s no news on what role he will play. In fact, Johnny Depp has even cited Keith Richards as one of his primary influences when constructing the Jack Sparrow character, along with cartoon skunk Pepé Le Pew, which, sure.
We’re five films in, and still this franchise is repeatedly smashing our face into the unrevolutionary metaphor that pirates were the rock stars of their time. The iconic British musician has received plenty of movie credits, mostly for his musical contributions.
There is still time to add it in because the film will not be released until May 26, 2017.
