Official Pokemon GO! Information and Screenshots Released
After walking a certain number of steps, these eggs will hatch into Pokemon. While players will initially only have access to “basic” Pokemon, trainers can level up by catching Pokemon and dueling, which could help players get better equipment (such as better Poke Balls) and access to more Pokemon.

With Pokemon GO inching towards release, Nintendo has finally spilled the beans on how players will play the highly anticipated mobile game set in the real world. Trainers will be able to evolve their Pokemon after capturing the same type of Pokemon multiple times, and it’s unclear if you’ll be able to level up your Pokemon within the game. Once you feel confident in enough, you can challenge others to claim a location’s gym, fighting off other players with your Pokemon who are looking to do the same.
It was previously known that the free-to-play game would involve people going out in the real world to catch Pokemon but it wasn’t exactly clear how that would work.
A few more details on the Pokemon GO! As players explore the world around them, their phones will vibrate to let them know a Pokemon is nearby. Poké Balls and other special items can be found at PokéStops located at interesting places such as public art installations, historical markers and monuments. If another team wants to take the gym for themselves, they’ll have to defeat your team’s Pokemon. Trainers can leave one Pokemon at each gym their team controls, so teams are encouraged to work together to build a strong defense for when rival teams arrive to battle for control of the base.
And it’s not just Pokemon players will be on the hunt for. The Pokemon Go Plus accessory that we alluded to above is a wearable that has a tear drop design, but also looks like a Pokeball.

A “Pokemon GO” “field test” is coming to Japan soon but there’s no word if it will come to the rest of the world.
