A new comic book character could be coming to television in the coming years courtesy of Marvel comics.

There had been no previous reports about a possible Captain Britain TV series in the works prior to this. This led some to believe that Marvel already had a Captain Britain series in the pipeline, but it turns that’s not the case.

With that being said, we now have word on another potential series, with poster artist Ciara McAvoy taking to Twitter today to suggest that development is underway on a Captain Britain series. I can’t reveal anything yet but hopefully I’ll be able to soon. That new show, which is a spin-off from “Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D”, will focus on the spy couple Lance Hunter (Nick Blood) and Bobby Morse (Adrianne Palicki) who go rogue. However, no official confirmations have been made so far.In a further series of tweets, McAvoy replied to a few questions from some Twitter users but did not reveal much about the forthcoming project. I’m painting The Lady Of The Lake until they have an actor confirmed for Captain Britain. McAvoy says she expects Marvel to make a proper announcement about the show in late 2016 or possibly early 2017. Captain America’s United Kingdom counterpart was created for the Marvel line of comics when it was introduced to England in the 70’s, and it appeared he would be Marvel’s next comic-to-TV adaption. Real name Brian Braddock, he was a physicist who gained superpowers from Merlyn.
