Apple has finally revealed the official launch date for its long rumored event for March, where a number of new computing devices and updates are expected to be announced.
“I expect to see a 4-inch iPhone but with the ability to access all of Apple’s services, such as Apple Pay”, Patrick Moorhead, an analyst at Moor Insights & Strategy, told ABC News. Given what’s now going on at Apple – and what the tech community expects from the event, I think the decision should be a definite positive for Apple stock.
In terms of design, the device is said to be similar to the iPhone 6 models.
There’s definitely latent demand out there for a smaller iPhone; we haven’t seen a 4-inch model since 2013, and many Americans have Trump-like hands incapable of comfortably utilizing larger-sized phones.
So far, rumors have indicated towards the exclusion of 3D Touch from iPhone SE, and 4K display technology from the 9.7-inch iPad. It is expected to be the smaller version of the iPad Pro which launched previous year. According to the Japanese Apple rumors blog Mac Otakara, several posts on China’s Weibo social network suggest the next iPhone will sport a new design. The iPhone SE is likely to have an 8-megapixel camera, and powered by the Apple A9 processor.
