Almost 70% Of American Democrats Living Abroad Voted For Bernie Over Clinton

The party said 34,570 US citizens living overseas in more than 170 countries cast votes by Internet, mail and in person from March 1-8. We might add that we trust the political self-interest of any politician much more than their philosophy, morals or spirit, so we would expect a President Hillary Clinton to pay very close attention to the concerns of Black America.

Heading into the home stretch of the 2016 presidential nominating contest, Bernie Sanders’ campaign is painfully short of delegates.

Sanders said his campaign had a good path forward even though “the deep south” was “not a strong area for us”, and pointed out that in IL and Missouri the campaigns almost split the delegates available despite Clinton winning the states. He continued on to say that he, Hillary Clinton, and all the representatives for the Democratic Party only have one goal, which is to make sure that no Republican emerges as the victor and occupies the White House.

With the addition of nine delegates, Sanders is behind by 312 delegates.

“Technically they’re not bound on any ballot”. So we have no reason to vote for Hillary in the general election. “The idea being that delegates are selected to fill a slot that’s representative of how the state voted”.

It’s likely Washington voters would have played a more pivotal role in picking the eventual nominee for either party, just as blocs of states in the South and Midwest have done in setting the tone of the national conversation. All these are separate from superdelegates, who are automatically delegates based on their status. “And number two, a really insane consideration, like who could actually be president of the United States”.

“Apparently Trump’s feud with Megyn Kelly has not alienated female voters”, said Yu Wang from University of Rochester.

Sanders is a Vermont senator, the longest serving independent in the U.S. Congress. He worked with the Democrats but only joined the party previous year. In terms of specific votes, Sanders received 23,779 votes and Clinton won 10,689 votes. “You’re going to be committed to your candidate”.

His main rival, Senator Ted Cruz, spent US$17.5 million – US$5.6 million more than he raised, according to the campaign finance records.

Both Mrs Clinton and Mr Sanders have also promised to review laws which have resulted in salaries of Americans working in Australia being “double-taxed”. He again noted that large states such as California and NY, as well as other West Coast states like Washington and OR where the campaign believes he will do well, still have not had their say.
