IOS 9.3 build 13E236 fixes iPad 2 bug

Apple went as far as to briefly suspend the firmware update yesterday, telling iMore that, “For these older devices, we have temporarily pulled back the update and will release an updated version of iOS 9.3 in the next few days”. Devices affected include iPhone 4s, 5c and 5s, third and fourth generation Retina iPads and the iPad Air. Apple has made a decision to suspend the deployment of iOS 9.3 on the older terminals and is working on another version that will be for them. These are neither old nor new but still many people are using these devices and hence are affected in large numbers. While Apple is trying to work on a fix, users are advised to try and reset their passwords or connect the device to a computer and try and update via iTunes.
Since 21 March in the evening, users of iPhone and iPad can install iOS 9.3, the new version of the OS from Apple. On a support page for the update, the company said that affected products could get stuck during the activation phase of the update if users didn’t happen to remember their Apple ID passwords.

It’s’ not the first time Apple pushed out a botched update, as it happened a year ago as well with the release of iOS 8.0.1, which caused a numerous number of iPhones to lose Touch ID functionality and cellular reception. If you still see a map in the device detail view, select All Devices again, click Remove icon next to your device, then click Remove.
