Republican presidential hopeful Ted Cruz has angrily labelled rival Donald Trump a “snivelling coward” in an escalating feud over the candidates’ wives.
The US senator from Texas also sharpened his attacks on Trump’s conservative credentials, linking the brash billionaire to disgraced NY politicians Eliot Spitzer and Anthony Weiner.
After a super PAC unrelated to Cruz published an ad using a suggestive photo of Trump’s wife, Melania, from GQ, Trump laid the blame on Cruz anyway. “Ted Cruz is the only one who’s got a chance other than Donald Trump to win the nomination”, Walker said.
Heidi Cruz is a senior executive for Goldman Sachs, and took a leave from in order to help her husband’s campaign. Donald Trump is a the kid who didn’t read the book who is trying to bluff his way through the oral book report in front of the whole class.
Trump responded Tuesday by threatening to “spill the beans” on Cruz’s wife.
Cruz further speculated that “Donald does seem to have an issue with women…Donald doesn’t like strong women”.
He went on to laud Heidi as the daughter of Christian missionaries and an “unbelievable mom”, his best friend, and the love of his life.
Trump threatened to “spill the beans” on Cruz’s wife, Heidi, if he wasn’t “careful”.
The back-and-forth was too much for Graham, who blasted both candidates in an interview on NBC’s “Today” show on Thursday.
The attacks on wives of candidates, celebrities, and people in the media are distraction techniques that are meant to shift the subject away from Trump’s lack of qualifications to be president.
Half of USA women say they have a “very unfavourable” view of Trump, according to Reuters/Ipsos polling in March.
The reporter called out Cruz for not answering the question but to no avail.
The poll had a credibility interval of 2 percentage points. Since then, there have been a barrage of negative comments from Trump about Kelly.
Trump has a substantial lead in the delegate chase for the GOP nomination.
After dropping out of the presidential race last month following a disappointing campaign, Mr Bush, whose father and brother are both former presidents, said the Republican Party has to unite or face certain defeat in the election, probably to Mrs Hillary Clinton.
In an interview Wednesday on CNN’s “New Day”, Cruz said of Kasich: “I think he’d be a tremendous addition to an administration”.

Trump repeated late Wednesday that he believed Cruz “knew about” the ad, which appeared to be aimed at persuading Mormon women to support Cruz in Tuesday’s Utah primary.
