Heroes Who Had Their Butts Thoroughly Kicked by Wonder Woman

Gal Gadot is also known for her role, which began in 2009, as Gisele in The Fast and the Furious film series.

The stakes are high for this version of the Amazonian princess, played by Gal Gadot, a former Israeli army combat trainer (and Miss Israel pageant winner) who put on 17 lbs. of muscle for the role.

Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice was always bound to be a testosterone-heavy affair.

Gal Gadot in particular gets rave reviews for her small role in the movie, which is important since it does seem that her appearance could be why the film ends up becoming successful.

In Justice League #11, Hal Jordan makes the rather chauvinistic mistake or telling Wonder Woman she can’t go off to save her friend Steve Trevor (mainly because WW is a bit angry at the time).

The popular DC superhero will be featured in her own stand alone film in the upcoming year. “Not only is she fantastic onscreen, she just might be the nicest person in the world”, one top executive said.

And while these warrior women are showing a lot of skin that could easily be pierced by enemy swords, and wearing heels that make running a lot harder, director Patty Jenkins-the first woman to direct a superhero movie-says a lot of thought went into these fantasy costumes. Even though superheroes usually have some unobtainable power, she said many of them are outsiders, and the struggles they overcome encourage people to conquer their obstacles, too.

Gal follows in the footsteps of original Wonder Woman, Lynda Carter, who portrayed the comic book favourite on TV between 1975 to 1979.

Gadot’s diligence paid off as her co-stars Henry Cavill and Ben Affleck, along with many others, were amazed by her performance.

“Long before she actually suits up, though, you’re good and sick of waiting for Gadot to hijack all the rage-y, steroidal, bone-crushing smackdowns setting the tone in Snyder’s literal blockbuster”. She is not relying on a man, and she’s not there because of a love story. Has there ever been a time where Batman has been more thoroughly defeated when Wonder Woman punches him out of a building, tells him to basically get lost, and then Batman proceeds to immediately run the hell away?

“I was in this weird career phase, going back and forth from Tel Aviv to Los Angeles for auditions”.

Snyder directed from a screenplay written by Chris Terrio and David S. Goyer, based on characters from DC Comics, including Batman, created by Bob Kane with Bill Finger, and Superman, created by Jerry Siegel and Joe Shuster. I admire women who do.

In a movie as busy as this one, we can’t expect that every character will be well-defined.
