Garry Shandling’s Cause of Death Was an Apparent Heart Attack
Conan O’Brien and Seth Meyers both took time out of their late night talk shows to pay their respects to the late comedian.

As you may have noticed from the outpouring of emotion following the death of Garry Shandling, the loss of the comedian and television icon has been a major gut punch.
He wrapped up the monologue by saying, “I love you, Garry”. These shows have roots in shows like The Larry Sanders Show. The series’ initial cable syndication rights were scooped up by Bravo, who edited the content of the episodes in order to meet cable broadcast guidelines; subsequent DVD releases featured the episodes in their unedited form. The show wasn’t available to stream anywhere, so content-hungry fans flocked to the web to buy old-school physical media, cleaning out Amazon’s stock of $20 Larry Sanders boxsets. The setting for the show is a fictional late night TV talk show.
Funnyman Jerry Seinfeld and his wife Jessica were longtime friends of Garry.
“Garry was a guiding voice of comedy”. His friend came by his house to check on him and suggested he go to the ER the following day if he didn’t feel any better.
“I never had the chance to get to know him”, Meyers said, calling the “Larry Sanders” show “completely groundbreaking”. It is a flawless, ridiculous Larry Sanders moment. I didn’t know him. “Maybe tomorrow I will do better”.
