Modi in poll-bound Bihar: Promises package bigger than Rs 50000 cr
Beginning his speech, the Prime Minister said that enthusiasm of people in Bihar was a clear indication about who would win the next election in the state.

Asked whether his meeting with Kumar was an expression of his unhappiness with the party, Sinha said he was called for the first engagement of the Prime Minister in Patna today “which I attended dutifully and beautifully”. “This election is to get rid of RJD”. “People went there to hear about PM’s vision for development of Bihar“. He also claimed that he isn’t a Chief Ministerial candidate for BJP in Bihar.
After a brief spell of exhilaration at Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit to Bihar, the state unit of the Bharatiya Janata Party is overcome by a sense of foreboding. “I promise I will fulfil the dreams of the people in 60 months if the BJP is voted to power“.
“By 2022 you have promised house for everybody with facility of electricity and water”.
“With 14th Finance Commission report and withdrawal of BRGF (Backward Regional Grant Fund), Bihar to lose Rs 50,000 crore in five years”. BJP’s new ally, former chief minister Jitan Ram Manjhi, also attended and shared the stage with Modi.
A senior BJP leader, Sinha represents the Patna Sahib Lok Sabha seat.
However, with both Nitish and Narendra Modi carrying the tags of good governance on their sleeves, the bigger dilemma for Bihar CM seems to be that he can not afford to be seen batting for scam-tainted Lalu Prasad. He blamed the UPA for failing to complete the Barauni fertilizer factory in Bihar.
Addressing a public meeting here, he said Kumar practices “political untouchability” as he recalled how the JD(U) leader had refused to entertain him after inviting him over dinner and had snapped ties with BJP because of his dislike towards him two years back.
He assured that in times to come, Bihar would witness only development.

He said a survey by a leading television channel has shown that 52 per cent respondents supported Nitish as the popular leader, making him more popular than Modi who could muster only 45 per cent. He is lauding one of us and criticising another. “But it will never succeed”.
