Steinau said like 2008, younger voters are a focus for the campaigns, adding Alaskans who will be 18 years old by June 24 can participate in the caucuses. Those who are not now registered to vote may register to vote at the caucus and participate on the same day. Caucuses are held by precinct.

The party is offering more than 40 locations around the state where people to get in on the action of choosing the next Democratic presidential nominee. Those reasons are: religious observance, work schedule, military service, and disability/illness. The national convention will be held in Philadelphia in July. The remaining 17 are technically unpledged party and elected leaders, though a majority of them – including Gov.
