Shabazz Napier shipped to Orlando Magic by Miami Heat
Trading Napier will free up roughly .3 million this year for the Heat, and $4.9 million when taking the luxury tax into consideration.

As a college senior in 2014, Napier led UConn to the NCAA Tournament title and was named the most outstanding player of the Final Four.
All offseason, we’ve heard rumors about the Heat looking to trade Mario Chalmers in order to save some money.
The Roxbury, Mass., native is joining the Orlando Magic. He averaged 5.1 points and 2.5 assists as a rookie last season.
The Miami Heat have reportedly agreed to trade Shabazz Napier to Florida rivals the Orlando Magic. When Napier struggled to play consistent ball, Miami went out and acquired Goran Dragic.
In his lone season with the Heat, Napier provided multiple exciting moments. The Magic are finalizing a trade to get Nappier, reports Adrian Wojnarowski at Yahoo Sports. Charlotte drafted him 24th overall in the 2014 National Basteball Association Draft, then traded his draft rights to Miami. The Heat also added another guard in Tyler Johnson late in the season.
In addition to those decisions, the Heat might also be weighing whether or not to keep second-round draft pick Josh Richardson, who performed well in the Orlando and Las Vegas summer leagues.
