OR guard Dillon Brooks gets revved up, youth coach says
Oregon’s forward Dillon Brooks (24) celebrates his 3-point shot that ended the victory over Duke in the second half during the second game of the NCAA West Regional at the Honda Center on Thursday. The video shows him saying something to Brooks (and the lip-reading backs up “you’re too good a player”) which elicits an apology.

OR will tip off against the Oklahoma Sooners at 3:10 p.m. today on CBS-TV for a shot at the Ducks’ second ever Final Four appearance. The first two teams to punch their tickets to the 2016 Final Four will do so on Saturday.
Among the group standing outside waiting for them was Krzyzewski’s wife, Mickie.
Oklahoma 77, Texas A&M 63: The Sooners proved they can thrive quite nicely in the NCAA tournament even if Buddy Hield isn’t going off. I just told him to shoot it so we wouldn’t have a turnover.
“The defense is the key and (Altman’s) got some defense that we have never seen here at OR before”, Jenkins said. In the first half, Brooks had a trash-talking incident in the first half after making a 3-pointer in front of the Blue Devils’ bench. He could causally throw a shot up that likely wouldn’t go in or he could let the shot clock expire and turn the ball over. “So if anybody is upset, they should be upset with me – not Dillon Brooks”.
On Friday – the morning after Duke basketball coach Mike Krzyzewski allegedly scolded OR star Dillon Brooks for some on-court behavior – another coach wanted to be heard.
But perhaps no factor was a bigger key to Oregon’s Sweet Sixteen win over Duke than the Ducks’ ability to contest shots, both on the perimeter and in the post. The rest filed out until it was just Krzyzewski and Allen, and then they, too, were gone.

Another avid Ducks fan, Gene Jenkins of Roseburg, said he was amazed by Oregon’s performance against Duke, a storied powerhouse. “And you can take whatever he said and then go with it, all right?” “I told everybody, make them put it on the floor”, Bell said.Share with Us – We’d love to hear eyewitness accounts, the history behind an article, and smart, constructive criticism. And wouldn’t you know it-this season’s Blue Devils team, whose coach complained in February that it wasn’t fair that his most infamous player got lightly “reprimanded” for intentionally tripping opponents, ended its year with said coach and player acting like drips. What really matters is that of these teams, only OR will be playing on Saturday. Blue Devils leading scorer Grayson Allen made just one three-pointer until the final, frantic minutes. Right now, the Oregon Ducks Men’s Basketball has a full head of steam entering the Elite 8 after defeating Duke on Thursday night. “I can point out a number of guys, but one guy in particular is Brandon Ingram”. “They’re a great program and we knew we had to play with a lot of energy”.
