Police have arrested a third suspect in a burglary last weekend at the Make-A-Wish Foundation’s San Francisco office that netted items including an autographed scooter donated by San Francisco Giants outfielder Hunter Pence. Recently it was stolen from the Make-A-Wish Foundation front office.
Saturday afternoon, two burglars somehow got up to the 8th floor of the San Francisco offices of Make A Wish, and snagged the scooter.
Eight iPad minis that San Francisco mayor Ed Lee donated were also found, according to ABC 7 News Bay Area.
Electronics were undisturbed, except for some donated i-pads. It’s autographed with a message that reads, “To Michelle, Much Love!“. Make-A-Wish believes the thieves, knew exactly what they were looking for. Just two weeks ago, Pence made the video above with the organization to promote a T-shirt he had partnered with them to sell that says “forever grateful” on it. The men entered the offices by breaking the doorknob in a hallway door. “It’s scooter-gate all over again, ” followed by “#findhuntersscooterx2”. Executive Director Patricia Wilson told ABC7 News via text: “Rest assured, I’m prepared to ask Batkid to help bring justice!”
“They stole from these children, and we’re trying to inspire hope for them, their families and their communities”, concluded Burnett.
Two people wearing backpacks can be seen on the stairs in the surveillance footage.
