The Walking Dead Season Finale Just Jumped the Customer Loyalty Shark

If you were irriated by the aggravating non-reveal served by The Walking Dead this past Sunday-like most of the planet-good news! Keep in mind that this episode ran a half hour longer than usual, so it had more than enough time to nail some landings. While many were ecstatic with seeing Jeffrey Dean Morgan as the ultimate big bad Negan, more were upset with the giant cliffhanger left by the showrunners. The numbers are a substantial increase from last week’s 5.9 rating and 12.38 million total. “And the story of who died, the story of what comes next, of who Negan killed, of what comes after that, that’s really the story of season 7”.

Warning: spoilers ahead for the finale of Season 6 of The Walking Dead are in this story. Expect a trailer to spawn out of San Diego Comic Con in July.

In the finale, we seen Rick (Andrew Lincoln) and his group attempting to take Maggie (Lauren Cohen) to a doctor at the Hilltop Colony but are stopped at every turn by the Saviors.

On last night’s episode, after a season devoted in large part to hyping his arrival, we finally meet Negan.

Thus, it’s considered one of the most iconic moments in the comics, appropriately happening in the series’ 100th issue.

“We will pick up directly from what we saw last night that ends season 6, on that note, and season 7 is gonna pick up right where we left off”, the actor said according to the Chicago Tribune. He didn’t even follow the simple one person, one word rule (for example, Aaron gets the whole sentence “If he hollers, let him go”). “So yeah, you’re gonna see who’s at the end of that bat and what happens from there”. I’ll be thinking about this finale and being irritated as shit. “I know what [the season 7 premiere] is and I feel that it delivers on what [the season 6 finale] sets up”. “I liked talking about it”, added Scott Gimple. We are going to have a wide variety of locale, of tone, of character. Gimple explained that a lot of exploration will be done in the new season in terms of how Negan sees the world as it is.

“I think if you have something in a story that can be criticized in some direction, it will be criticized”, Gimple said on a conference call with reporters. We’ll share it with you just as soon as it’s available. This death is going to be a big one, and it will impact each member of the group. However, this POV shot changed and darkness gave way to light when Negan released Daryl, Glenn, Michonne and Rosita from where the Saviors were holding them, implying that we were watching the POV of one of those four characters. I think if you have something in a story that can be criticized in some direction, it will be criticized.
