Women should be punished for abortions if practice banned
“The woman is a victim in this case as is the life in her womb”, Trump said.

Trump changed his tune in a statement released to MSNBC Wednesday evening.
In an interview Thursday night on Fox News Channel’s “The O’Reilly Factor”, Trump blamed the flub on a “convoluted” interview.
“It’s your personal decision, everyone’s going to have their opinions and their judgements, but at the end of the day it’s on you and as long as you’re at peace with the decision you make whether to have the abortion or not, that’s all that matters”, said D.
Donald Trump sparked outrage across the ideological spectrum with a call to punish women who obtain abortions if the procedure is banned.
Trump was referring to a clip from CBS’ Face The Nation in which the presidential candidate said he doesn’t think the current abortion laws should be changed.
“Probably Donald Trump will figure out a way to say he didn’t say it, or he was misquoted, or whatever”, Kasich told MSNBC. “We’re gonna look – it’s gonna be pro-life”.
“As a convert to the pro-life movement, Mr. Trump sees the reality of the horror of abortion – the destruction of an innocent human life”, Dannenfelser said. But he has also come under pressure from conservatives to prove he is one of them on issues such as abortion, and he has drawn criticism for comments that offended women and minority groups. Benton said the Trump campaign has not asked Great America to cease its work.
Trump then said he was pro-life and then told Dickerson he “didn’t disagree” with the proposition that abortion is murder.
After Trump’s comments took off, his campaign put out a statement just before 5 p.m. Eastern walking back his comments nearly entirely.
Latest controversial statement by GOP frontrunner branded “horrific” by Democratic rival Hillary Clinton.
Stephanopoulos then pressed about why that stance applies if it follows that “a women is there making the choice to take a life?”
Trump’s closest rival in the Republican race, US Senator Ted Cruz, said on Wednesday that Trump had clearly not thought through the issue and called his comments “unfortunate” and “wrong”. “Mr. Trump gave an accurate account of the law as it is today and made clear it must stay that way now – until he is president”, his spokesperson said on Friday afternoon.

Pierson added that Trump’s comment about women being punished for having illegal abortions was made in a “hypothetical context”. “This is against the very nature of what we are about”, the president of the group’s education and defense fund, Jeanne Marcini, said in a statement.
