John Kasich’s New York ad target – the senator from Texas
Now, as the Republican primary race continues to heat up ahead of New York’s crucial April 19 primary, Cruz is trailing in the Empire State behind Trump by large margins, with the latest CBS News battleground tracker poll putting Cruz more than 30 points behind his billionaire rival. People stop me every day to say they know exactly what I meant – they’re fed up with what liberal Democrats are doing to the people of NY.

“I know he was attacking liberal Democratic values …” “Do you remember during the debate when he started lecturing me on NY values, like we’re no good?”
“I support Trump”, Giuliani, himself a former Republican presidential candidate, told the New York Post.
“Any New Yorker who even thinks of voting for Ted Cruz should have their head examined”.
Democratic front-runner Hillary Clinton, a former NY senator, is touting her “New York values” as a badge of honor and as a jab to Cruz, as she campaigns in her home state. “Not a lot of consevatives come out of Manhattan”.
NY officials have taken aim at Sen.
Giuliani, who was the city’s mayor when it was attacked on September 11th, made a failed bid for the 2008 Republican nomination.
It is a message that Kasich has been pushing on the campaign trail, saying Cruz’s first place win in Wisconsin, and his own last place finish, was more a product of the anti-Trump movement than “pro-Ted Cruz votes”. Kasich is hoping to pick up delegates in congressional districts across the state that will help him in a contested convention.
Cruz didn’t address the ongoing “New York values” flap during an Albany-area campaign event Thursday. “We’re family. I can make fun of NY.
