Khabib Nurmagomedov Feels For Injured Tony Ferguson

Less than two weeks out from a planned UFC on FOX 19 title-eliminator, Ferguson was forced to pull out with an injury. According to a UFC official, a final decision on whether or not to remove Nurmagomedov from the event has not been made.

He may be getting impatient but it could benefit Khabib Nurmagomedov to hold out until the summer to fight.

But it’s his opponent, not the cursed AKA lightweight, that has been forced out of action as Tony Ferguson will be unable to compete at the the April 16 event due to the fact that fluid was found in his lung.

“Usually I can power thru small bumps & bruises”, he tweeted on Tuesday night. Doc Said I have Fluid/Blood in my Lung #UFCTampa I Will Heal Up.

The bout would have been Nurmagomedov’s first in two years, as he has been sidelined, nursing injuries of his own.

However, current lightweight champion Rafael dos Anjos is doing his best to lure Nurmagomedov away from the UFC On FOX 19 card, informing the UFC that he has “unfinished business” with him that could be settled at UFC 200 in July instead.

He was replaced by Edson Barboza who ended up being submitted in the second round by Ferguson which pushed the win streak of “El Cucuy” to seven. “16 April I’m waiting for you guys”.
